For those interested, a quick update on how my novel is going:
1. I finished a start-to-end draft in the beginning of January. Which I began working on the day after Thanksgiving. After working on previous and unfinished drafts for three years.
2. Having finished my first complete draft, I have since been editing.
3. Being a ruthless perfectionist, my editing will in all likelihood not be totally complete by the time I go back home. Sigh. But I hope to finish it up shortly thereafter.
4. I'm vacillating between disappointment in not meeting my (probably unrealistic) goal of being 100% done when I go home...and excitement over the fact that (on the other hand), my novel is more or less "done" but I'm just "polishing" it.
All I can say is, behold life as a Virgo, Libra rising: the curse of the ambivalent perfectionist!
jOy whats up,,, nice blogggg,,, It seems you are having a good time in "La Ciudad de la Furia". Keep on working hard in your novel. Why dont you post a chapter or a part of your novel so we can have an idea about it??? Just an idea. See you both soon.
